D2L end-of-semester maintenance – May 28-29, 2015

The Desire2Learn system will be unavailable all day May 28th and May 29th 2015 . This is necessary to perform the end-of-semester processes (update software, purge semester data through Spring 2012, and prepare courses for the new semester). D2L will be available again by 7:00 am on May 30th, 2015.

Network problem at SCC, CRC, & EG Center

There was a 10 minute outage of network connectivity from approximately 10:10-10:20 am today. The problem is now resolved. Unavailable services included all connectivity to/from the locations above to the Internet. Students & staff on campus would not have been able to reach D2L, eServices, Library, Exchange, or other District services (people at home or off-campus would have been able to reach District services, but could not reach on-campus systems). We apologize and appreciate your understanding.

Los Rios Internet Connection Unavailable

From approximately Noon to 1:00 pm Monday 3/16/15, the District Internet provider (CENIC) experienced an outage due to an issue between Oakland and Sunnyvale. Most of the K-20 schools in Northern California were affected. During the outage, Los Rios Colleges and the District office could communicate to each other, but no Internet traffic was allowed to the outside. Therefore D2L, eServices, and other in-District systems were available from on campus, but not from the outside.

D2L end-of-semester Maintenance starting 8/13/2014 – completed

The Desire2Learn is now back up and available for use. The end-of-semester processes (update software, and prepare courses for the new semester) have been completed successfully.

The outage has been resolved. The outage was from approximately 6:55a to 10:29a.

Lync at CRC is not functional. Estimate time for service to be restored is 9:15a.

Appears to be a fiber cut. We are investigating. CRC has connectivity to internal resources but no internet access. EGC has no off-site network access.

eService outage

The eService system was not available this morning and a portion last night, due to a software problem. It was returned to service at approximately 8:00 am this morning. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The Desire2Learn system will be unavailable Jan 17th 2014 from 5:00am until 7:00am. This is necessary to perform a system change. D2L will be available again by 7:00 am on Jan 17th, 2013.
